
Bryan A. Kurtz, Esq.
Bryan joined Tenant Law Group in April 2022 as an Attorney and currently serves as Managing Attorney. In addition to supervising a team of six legal professionals, Bryan dedicates one hundred percent of his legal practice to helping tenants recover money damages following egregious landlord behavior, and negotiating settlements or taking matters to arbitration, mediation, and trial if needed.
Bryan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. While in law school, he authored “The Promises and Perils of Artificial Intelligence: Balancing Economics and Ethics in an Algorithmic Society,” helped launch the Clear My Record expungement project, and was on the law review.
During law school, Bryan worked as an intern at the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office, a judicial intern to the Honorable Mark D. Pfeiffer at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Western District, and a legal intern at the United States Commodity Futures Trading Commission. Following admission to the California Bar in 2019, Bryan has experience representing California plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of litigation practice areas in state and federal courts. He represented U.S.’s second largest operator of Job Corps centers in a class-action ERISA lawsuit; national addiction treatment services provider in multiple employment matters; an individual plaintiff in intellectual property lawsuit against a fashion crowdsourcing company. He has also authored two articles published in the Daily Journal.
Outside of work, Bryan enjoys spending time with his family, playing tennis, and motorcycling.
