Our Intake Process

Our goal is to provide as much value as possible to all renters who contact our firm—whether or not they become clients. Renters generally contact us because they need legal advice or legal representation. The goal of our intake process is to understand the issues you are grappling with and your desired outcome so that we can recommend the appropriate legal service to help you achieve your goals.
1. We Conduct an Intake

You share with us some basic information about your tenancy (e.g., rental property address, current rent, length of tenancy, etc.) and your desired outcome. You can do this by phone or via an online intake form—whichever option you prefer.

2. We Schedule a Free Case Evaluation

We review the information you provided and schedule a free case evaluation with a non-attorney member of our New Client Intake & Engagement Team.

3. We Recommend a Service

During your Free Case Evaluation, we discuss your matter and your desired outcome in greater detail and recommend a service that will best assist you in achieving this outcome.

Questions & Answers
How does the client intake process work?
Step 1: We Conduct an Intake. You share with us some basic information about your tenancy (e.g., rental property address, current rent, length of tenancy, etc.) and your desired outcome. You can do this by phone or via an online intake form—whichever option you prefer.
Step 2: We Schedule a Free Case Evaluation. We review the information you provided and schedule a free case evaluation with a non-attorney member of our New Client Intake & Engagement Team.
Step 3: We Recommend a Service. During your Free Case Evaluation, we discuss your matter and your desired outcome in greater detail and recommend a service that will best assist you in achieving this outcome.
What should I expect from my free case evaluation?
After you submit some basic information about your tenancy by phone or via an online form, you will be entitled to a confidential 20-minute free case evaluation with a non-attorney. During that free case evaluation, we will ask you details about your legal issue and desired outcome. We will recommend the service most likely to help you achieve that outcome—whether a consultation with one of our Advice Attorneys or more formal representation to pursue the recovery of money on your behalf.
Do I have to pay anything upfront to hire your firm?
We do not request any upfront payment in cases where we pursue the recovery of money on our clients’ behalf. We do, however, require an upfront payment for attorney consultations.
Do I have a case?
Our office handles a variety of landlord-tenant matters. While landlord-tenant disputes frequently arise, not all scenarios give rise to legal claims. Click here to learn more about whether your dispute may warrant legal action, if it could potentially qualify as a contingency case, and if it is a good fit for our firm.
Leave Us A Message

To get started, share with us some information about your landlord-tenant issue and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Although your information is 100% safe and secure, submitting an inquiry does not establish an attorney-client relationship.
