Elisabeth (Lis) K. Fiekowsky, Esq.

Lis joined Tenant Law Group in March 2024. She currently dedicates one hundred percent of her practice to helping tenants recover money damages following egregious landlord behavior, and negotiating settlements or taking matters to arbitration, mediation, and trial if needed.

Lis earned a Bachelor of Science cum laude in Food Service Management from New York University and her Juris Doctor from the Brooklyn Law School. She has been licensed to practice law in California since 2007.

Lis started her legal career representing tenants and local community groups on housing issues at the South Brooklyn Legal Services Housing Law Unit in downtown Brooklyn. There, she tackled every aspect of a case, from in-depth legal research to arguing cases in court. Leveraging this experience, she then spent seventeen years advocating for union members on the West Coast and in California. In this role, Lis championed their rights in hearings and arbitrations, negotiated contracts, and tackled worker’s rights issues across both public and private sectors. Most recently, her work as an associate attorney at Emerald Law Group has expanded her legal expertise to include family law and other types of civil legal matters.

Outside of work, Lis enjoys spending time with family, traveling, gardening, cooking, and food preservation, listening to music, and attending live music events.
